UK-release Trespassing CD & Single (NCOE) Gifting Campaign
Tuesday, 03 July 2012 02:12
AdamLambertUK has launched a campaign to gift the UK-release of "Trespassing". Not only will this help to bolster the first week sales, but it also allows us to provide the cd to fans who otherwise couldn't afford to buy it for themselves. We've made the donating process quick and easy by utilising paypal. if you would like to help us with this initiative, please go to the "Donate to Trespassing Gifting Campaign" section on our front page (right-hand column; under the "Who's online" box) and simply type in the amount you wish to donate. We can no longer accept donations as we are nearing our annual paypal limit and risk having our account frozen. We can accommodate some requests from fans wishing to have us purchase a cd and mail it to them. We hope to have approximate postage costs very soon so that we can relay the total cost involved. To give you an idea of the price of the "Trespassing" cd in the UK, a list of links to on-line outlets can be consulted in the centre column of our front page. Please email us using the address below for further information.
Please know that ALL funds we've received will be used for the purchase/shipping of the cd. We plan to buy the cds from a variety of outlets, both online and at retail stores, to ensure that the purchases do indeed count towards the overall sales figures. At the end of the campaign, we will report the total number of cds gifted. Six site administrators have agreed to take part in this campaign and are ready to begin their buying spree on Monday 9 July. We will concentrate our efforts on purchasing physical copies of the cd, over-the-counter, on the day of its release - Monday 09 July - and we encourage those of you in the UK to do the same. To be safe, please avoid bulk purchasing.
Requests for gifted copies of the cd can be made by emailing your name and full mailing address (please ensure your address is given to us correctly as we don't want to waste donations on returned cds) to
This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
. Requests will be filled in the order they are received, cd supply permitting. This offer is open to everyone and we will ship internationally.
We can also gift digital copies of "Never Close Our Eyes", the first single (from "Trespassing") released in the UK. If you have a UK iTunes account and would like a copy, please send us your iTunes email address via
This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
. We've been told that only one purchase per account (iTunes and Amazon) will count towards overall sales numbers, however we will still honour your request. These purchases won't help in the single's chart position but they may count towards its iTunes placement. Again - we encourage all UK fans with an iTunes account to download the single on Sunday and to encourage others to do the same.
Feedback received has been so positive and we've been overwhelmed by the generous donations received. To those who have already requested their cd gifts: the lovely messages expressing your gratitude have been a pleasure to read - thank you. As always, we appreciate your continued support and thank you for trusting us with this initiative. xx

Fan review of Adam Lambert's London Showcase on 3 February 2012 by @TraceParr
Friday, 10 February 2012 01:33
A sort of apology to start with about the rambling and over-excitement that there will be in this review but as fans of Adam's you'll appreciate that this was probably a once-in-a lifetime opportunity so will forgive the flail.
Me and some friends had entered the competition to win tickets to the showcase and we spent Thursday afternoon checking emails as the lucky winners would be announced by 2 p.m. (all the while never daring to actually hope we would be THAT lucky). So after wearing out the F5 button on my laptop I came to the sad conclusion that it wasn't meant to be and went off to an appointment. My friends hadn't received any emails either. I came out from my appointment with a ton of messages from my friend Haidee, wanting to know where I was, she had even text my husband so I knew it must have been important!! I don't remember much of the call except there was a lot of screaming, omgs, and are you serious? I couldn't believe that my friend had won tickets and was asking me if I could make it - daft question!! The rest of the night went by in a blur and I was still waiting for the "it’s all been a mistake" email to come through.
Fast forward to Friday and having arrived far too early at The Arts Club in Mayfair we headed across the road to the pub to have a drink to settle our excited nerves (it didn't work!!). When we got inside we immediately met two other winners, Shell and her Mum Joan, who were very friendly & just so lovely. As Adam fans we shared our experiences of the Glam Nation UK Tour and were chatting away like old friends. We had a slight (understatement) panicky moment when they couldn't find Haidee's name on the list.Thankfully they did and after handing over phones and cameras we were shown to the room ready for the showcase.
It was quite a small venue, with a stage just big enough for keyboards and stools and a drumming box for Isaac. The four of us sat on some stools close to the stage chatting and trying to take in the fact that we were here and what we were about to experience.
The room quickly filled up with media, around 50+ people. Haidee noticed Tommy walking to the stage followed by Isaac and Kev where they enjoyed a drink and some nibbles before the Sony Rep took to the stage to introduce Adam. He asked everyone to move closer to the stage and we were AT THE FRONT!!! I couldn't believe it, considering I spent most of the London GNT watching Adam through everyone's camera screens. He spoke about Adam & asked if we had seen the video for 'Better Than I Know Myself' yet and there was a chorus of yeses. "Oh it must have leaked" came his reply - schoolboy error there!! He finished his introduction by quoting Brian May "... but Adam's voice reaches out with sensitivity, depth, maturity, and awesome range and power which will make jaws drop all around the world. The world of Rock has a bright new star." Then Adam walked onto the stage and I felt like I was dreaming. Adam looked gorgeous dressed very smart (and sexy) in black jeans, black shirt and jacket. His hair was up with light brown tips, his trademark black polish & very minimal make up...in short he looked EVEN MORE beautiful in real life and what's more he was stood mere FEET away from me!! *squee*
Adam thanked everyone from coming and made reference to the extremely cold weather (why is it always so cold when he visits??). He started with 'Fever' and I really like this acoustic version. He looked over and smiled and I think my brain went boom! He has the most gorgeous eyes and anyone who has met him will probably tell you that when he looks at you, you feel like the only person in the room.
A fan's view of the Adam Lambert Showcase in London, 3 February 2012 by @Shellambie

Please excuse the length of this article and the irrelevant details which are put in, but this was a once in a lifetime opportunity for me and it’s just who I am!
After entering the competition to win two tickets to the 'Adam Lambert Exclusive Showcase' on 3 February in London, I didn’t think I had a chance to win tickets, but ever optimistic I entered and having checked my email every 10 seconds in the ‘You will be notified by email’ period, I came to the conclusion that I did not win. So I went out – can you imagine my disbelief when I came in and casually checked my emails to find a message saying 'Congratulations you have won tickets to the Showcase'? A few choice words came out of my mouth - quite loudly - and then I scrambled to reply to the email (by then the 4 p.m. deadline for confirmation had passed). With fingers that wouldn’t respond to my brain's commands I managed to type the few words ‘yes please I would like to come’ and sent the email back.
Fast forward 24 hours and I arrived in London with my Mum in tow (she is an Adam fan too) and we are standing outside The Arts Club in Mayfair. There were some lovely fans standing outside hoping to catch a glimpse of Adam and the band and we stood and had a chat for a while before entering the venue. Luckily there were two other competition winners inside, the lovely Heidi and Tracey, and as fellow Adam fans do, we chatted away like we had known each other for years.
Once we had our names checked and our phones and cameras taken away (we were pre-warned about this), we were led down-stairs to the room in which the showcase was being held. It had a small bar and dance floor with some seating around the edge and at the front was a very small stage, about 12-18 inches high. The four of us sat on some stools and had a drink and a chat about Adam and how excited we were to be there.
